Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System
The final release of the next major version of Base is now available.
Documentation and the source download can be found at
http://www.aps.anl.gov/epics/base/R3-16/1.php
Please be sure to read the Release Notes which describe the new features
provided in this release and the changes which may be necessary for
downstream software to build and run properly against this release.
Note that some of the new APIs included with this release are not
considered "final" and may change in the future. Please tell the core
developers if you plan to develop software using these APIs.
Note that the Application Developers Guide hasn't been updated yet to
cover all of the new features and APIs included. Nobody enjoys writing
documentation, so updates usually trail behind the software releases.
Many thanks to everyone who has contributed to this release, especially
Michael Davidsaver who developed many of the enhancements and bug-fixes
hereby included.
