Hi We installed the CA gateway on a server with only EPICS_CA_ADDR_LIST configured in the .bashrc , this server is on a VLAN that can see the machine and beamline network. We have on
the beamline network a server that has multiple IOCs running. This server's IP is used in the EPICS_CA_ADDR_LIST on the gateway server, but we can't see the beamline PVs, so I turned off all IOCs and ran one IOCs and it works fine. Seems the problem is due
to the dynamically assigned UDP port because of multiple IOCs. I figured out that it is possible to specify the port each IOC uses with EPICS_CAS_SERVER_PORT variable on the IOC server, the question is, is it possible for the CA gateway to see
all these custom configured ports? IP routing maybe through the OS? Best Regards, Abdalla Ahmad Control Engineer SESAME Allan, Jordan. Tel: (+962-5) 3511348 , ext. 265 Fax: (+962-5) 3511423 Mob: (+962-7)88183296 |
