Hi,
just for reference, I was once able to run an epics ioc on my old
galaxy s3 with a custom android rom which provided a small debian
environment. It was a funny experiment, nothing more, but it was
working as expected.

Hi Pilar,
I did some experiments compiling EPICS Base under the
Termux app (which provides a Linux-like environment), but gave
up after I realized that a few of the POSIX interfaces used by
EPICS were not present on Android.
I am sure one could get it working by adding a new target
architecture and carefully adding stuff to the OSI parts of
libCom, but that was way above my level of interest.
What is your use case?
(Mine was to provide a local compilation option on a
Chromebook. Since ChromeOS started getting Debian apps, that
will definitely be a better way.)

Hello everybody,
I was wondering if it is possible to compile EPICS in
an Android operating system.
Is it possible to do it? Has somebody already done
something similar?
I have been looking for information regarding to this
but I have not found anything.
Thank you in advance!
Pilar
