Dear all, I would like to announce babyIOC project release. Please check project website

Thomas Caswell will give a blitz talk at the coming EPICS Collaboration Meeting. Project in its infancy was first presented at the last EPICS collaboration meeting at APS in June 2018. (https://epics.anl.gov/meetings/2018-06/talks/06-14/PM/7.11.pdf) On the project page you will find a discussion about why not raspberryPi or Beagleboard platforms were selected.
Real “Instructional Video” will be up soon. I am working on recording my technician’s masterclass. At the meantime the link points to turbomolecular pump tomography reconstructed movie with music. This pump was imaged at IMB beamline at
Australian synchrotron, the meeting host. You can find other fun scientific artifacts on this YouTube channel, which were imaged at IMB beamline with and without music; 2D and 3D movies. I find it very neat!
If you have any ideas where the project should evolve, if at all, we are open to suggestions.
