I wrote the ASYN driver for the Prologix device you mentioned.  It seemed to work with the few devices I tried.

It’s been a while since I used one, though.

For your Moxa issue, I’d suggest putting a serial line analyzer, or at least one of these pass-through things with LEDs to show the status of the assorted RS-232 lines, between the LAN/Serial and Serial/GPIB devices.  Are you using the same serial line cable as before?

Does anyone have experience with these.


I have experience with the Agilent LAN/GPIB gateway, but those are expensive and appear to no longer be available.
