>source base of Phoebus. But our client PCs is running CSS 4.5.9. If I do
it, could there be conflict between Database Server and Clients? Or
else, should I install Phoebus to clients? So, I'm wondering that if we jump to Phoebus on clients, could there be unexpected problems on opis? The original Eclipse-based CS-Studio and the Phoebus version are 100% compatible regarding archived data.
Same RDB schema.
For displays, there is also a high degree of compatibility, see https://github.com/ControlSystemStudio/phoebus/wiki/Display-Builder-Compatibility

Archive Engine with Apache Kafka, JMS, Phoebus and etc. tools?
For alarms, you can export/import the configuration, but the tools are not compatible at runtime because we moved from RDB+JMS to Kafka.
