FYI the EPICS_CA_MAX_ARRAY_BYTES setting has been optional since EPICS 3.16.1, so if you're using any EPICS 7.0.x release and haven't explicitly set

EPICS_CA_AUTO_ARRAY_BYTES=NO

somewhere in either your Base build configuration or in your environment the MAX limit shouldn't be something you need to set.
