Subject: [EXTERNAL] Opening Multiple Phoebus Instances
I've been unable to find a solution to what I think should be an easy problem. I'm using a new install of Ubuntu and a new install of Phoebus.
If I have an instance of Phoebus open, I can't open another one. If I run phoebus.sh, it attempts to show me the existing main window. This even happens if I run
it from a different install directory on another user. I've tried using:
phoebus.sh -resource file:/full/path/to/file?target=window
No dice. I've tried starting Phoebus in server mode and not. I can't pop another Phoebus window in a different VNC desktop, or in an x-forward. I feel
like I'm missing something big, so I apologize for bothering you.
Secondary question: I can't seem to use Phoebus over XPRA either. I can pop an xterm, but if that xterm runs Phoebus, I get the CSS splash screen,
then it crashes with an error "xpra server does not support xi input devices".
Thanks for any help you can provide,
