Hey Tech-Talkers, Does EPICS offer any facility for keeping track of “formatters” specific PVs? I know PVA Normative Types offers the display_t struct for this (specifically the fields
precision and form), but we’re on Channel Access and even then I wouldn’t be sure how to specify it from a “normal” IOC. I’m specifically looking for something that can keep Phoebus consistent between (mainly) Display Builder and Data Browser. An idea that was floated here was to hijack the EGU field for this, but I’d really rather not do that… How do other users handle this? I could imagine using ChannelFinder for this, but I don’t know if there’s any (supported) convention there. Best regards, Patrick Hilhorst Present: Mon - Tue - Thu - Fri |
