Folks, We use the CAENels TetrAMM electrometers for X-ray beam position and intensity measurements. My units are running firmware 2.9.11. I see that more recent firmware supports a PKTSIZE command which allows control over the number of readings per Ethernet packet. That command would be useful to reduce buffering in the TetrAMM when
using it for fast feedback. I tried updating to firmware 3.3.03 today, but the update failed. Has anyone else tried such an update? I also have a question about the newer firmware and newer TetrAMM manuals. V1.5 of the TetrAMM User Manual describes the GATE command, which allows collecting data only when a signal level is high. The EPICS quadEM driver supports that
command, and we use it with firmware 2.9.11. Versions 3.2 and 4.1 of that manual do not describe the GATE command. Does anyone know if that command has been eliminated in more recent firmware, or is it an oversight in the manual? Thanks, Mark |
