Hi, The issue looks to be that it is not able to read the STREAM_PROTOCOL_PATH environment variable when using 2.8.13 Could you see if applying the change at
https://github.com/paulscherrerinstitute/StreamDevice/commit/bd9ee1c660d91e4be31c6dd4ac5641eec10886da
and rebuilding stream device makes any difference? Thanks, Freddie

There is something wrong with what I said in my previous email. It's ture that steam 2.8.13 can be built successfully with Visual Studio 2017 and Visual Studio 2019. However, it will be aborted when the application start(when execute iocInit actually), but
it can be run correctly with Stream 2.7.14. You can check the info in attachment.
I also try to compile stream with 3.14.12.8: MSVC:2017 community EPICS_HOST_ARCH=windows-x64 Stream 2.8.13 can be built, but the application can't be run properly. The result is the same as Stream2.8.13.PNG *************************************************************************************************
EPICS_HOST_ARCH=windows-x64-mingw Stream 2.8.13 build failed. The error info is :../ChecksumConverter.cc:777:51: error: expected ')' before 'SCNx8' Regards,
