Hi Astrid,We, at LNLS, are using the ESS version available here, but others should work just fine: https://artifactory.esss.lu.se/artifactory/CS-Studio/production/4.6.1.25/You can manually change the Databrowser settings (and others) by either:1) editing the file "configuration/plugin_customization.ini" inside the CS-Studio installation directory, like this:# Data Browser
# Removal of these settings results in empty defaults
# URLs to suggest in the "Archives" view
org.csstudio.trends.databrowser3/urls=pbraw://10.0.38.42/retrieval|LNLS Archiver
org.csstudio.trends.databrowser3/use_auto_scale=true
org.csstudio.trends.databrowser3/plot_bins=10
org.csstudio.trends.databrowser3/request_type=RAW
# Default data sources for newly added channels
# Format: <name>|<key>|<url>
# xnds: URLs use the key. Other URLs might ignore the key.
org.csstudio.trends.databrowser3/archives=LNLS Archiver|1|pbraw://10.0.38.42/retrieval
org.csstudio.trends.databrowser3/use_default_archives=true2) inside CS-Studio by going to "edit -> preferences -> CSS Applications -> Trends -> Data Browser"If you are familiar with Ansible you can look at our CS-Studio role that should install everything you needwith your custom settings: https://github.com/lnls-sirius/lnls-ansible/tree/master/roles/lnls-ans-role-cs-studioThe archiver variables for databrowser are the ones located here: https://github.com/lnls-sirius/lnls-ansible/blob/master/roles/lnls-ans-role-cs-studio/defaults/main.yml#L32Hope this helps,Cheers!LucasOn Thu, Jul 30, 2020 at 10:54 AM astrid morreale via Tech-talk <tech-talk at aps.anl.gov> wrote:Hello,In my attempt to retrieve archived data with a viewer (other than archiver viewer) I downloaded two different linux 4.3 versions of cs-studio from here:and I have tried following using the instructions in https://slacmshankar.github.io/epicsarchiver_docs/csstudio.html .However the last two cs-versions versions I downloaded are missing essential things like the trend tab (and thus I cannot add my pbraw::... retrieval)Could someone recommend a pre-compiled version of cs-studio that works with the archiver, or point me to the plugins etc that the generic cs studio is missing?I did check that the sns-css version of cs-studio has the trend tabs but then it is heavily configured for sns operations.kind regards and thanks in advanceAstrid
