Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System
Chris,
I have used vxgdb on a sun to attach to a task on VxWorks and
let me step through it.
I run vxgdb from the directory where the object files are (eg O.mv167).
>From within the debugger, I change dir to one level above (where the
source is).
Then, I attach to the crate via:
target vxworks <name of crate, eg sim4>
>From there you can do whatever you want. Eg, to set values:
set <varName>="<value>"
hope this helps,
Dayle
PS: With tornado, vxgdb got a new name (which I don't remember)
