Dave,

we've tested the MVME162-P344E (wich should replace the old MVME162-532a)
together with EPICS.

The good news is that the board was compatible to the old one regarding the
BSP.
The bad news is that we encountered interrupt problems which caused a
reboot of the IOC after some ours.

I talked with my distributor and he told me that the first series of the
Petra ASCISs has definitively BUGs regarding interrupts. Therefore Motorola
has replaced the Petra ASIC with a new one. As far as I know the boards
with the new ASIC habe the letter 'A' after the 'P' . The new MVME162-P344E
is now called MVME162-PA344E.

Regards
