Problems using the sscan record

Hi all,

 

We have some problem in using sscan records with one motor as one positioner and one ADC value from the detector.

Hardware: VME+MVME5500+MAXv-8000

Software: EPICS base3.14.8+MotorR6-2-2+Sscan from synApps5_2 + (some transform records)

The problem happens frequently when the scan is processing . When it happens:

1. All the PVs on the EDM interface are connected, but no motor (residing in this IOC) has any response to the new setting value of its Motor.DVAL. It seems the IOC doesn’t accept command from OPI any more;

2. The commands like ‘dbl’ are still working normally on the minicom console;

3. The network between OPI and IOC is ok;

4. When restart the IOC by typing the ‘reboot’ command on the minicom console, the IOC can’t be recovered normally.

5. The IOC have to be restarted by powering off and on.

 

We also tried to split sscan to a PC/Linux/IOC, the problems still appear.

 

Any suggestion and idea are welcomed.
