Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System
This issue is now somewhat moot since I've just finished adding ASYN support for RFC2217 servers. This allows port parameters (speed, parity, etc.) to be set using an asynRecord or asynSetOption commands just as for local serial ports. The changes have been committed and a new ASYN release containing the changes should be coming soon.
I'd like to send a big "thank you" to Emma Shepherd at Diamond for helping with testing and debugging the code.
