Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System
We've discovered a problem in EDM (including latest release) when built
for a 64-bit target.
The attached image shows two copies of a couple of EDM screens, the top
ones are from a 32-bit executable and the bottom ones a 64-bit one. The
plots from the 64-bit version have zero values inserted in between most
of the valid sample points, which probably indicates that the code is
using a long* instead of an epicsInt32* somewhere. In the right-hand
screen the plot scrolls slowly left-wards, and when only one sample
curve is displayed the new data points that appear on the right don't
get the interleaved zero values any more (but the graph auto-scaling
never recovers even after all the zeros have scrolled off the left side
of the plot).
I'm hoping that whoever is currently maintaining the relevant EDM widget
will recognize this issue and be able to fix it. We will be happy to
test any patches/fixes...
Thanks,
- Andrew
