Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System
Hey all,
for the vacuum system of our tracking detector we want to use a PLC. We
decided to use a Siemens S7-300 which should control the pumps, gauges
and valves of our system.
The main question now is how to connect the PLC to our EPICS system?
I've seen that the CPU module has PROFINET or PROFIBUS DP interfaces. Is
there a device support available for those? Is there a better/easier
interface available maybe via an additional communication processor?
Any feedback appreciated!
Best regards,
Florian
