Hello all,

it is my pleasure to announce that the Core Controls Group of BNL NSLS-II is hiring! Join us in our efforts to build software and hardware engineering expertise for 30 state-of-the-art synchrotron beamlines, as well as for a cryo-electron microscopy facility. Cozily located on Long Island, New York, our large-scale science-oriented facility combines the scope of a large industrial setting with the excitement and challenges of world-class research experiments. As a National Laboratory, BNL collaborates closely with professionals across other national and international research institutions.

This Technology Engineer position is focused on designing, testing, implementation, deployment, and maintenance of NSLS-II beamline systems that control and synchronize high-precision motor-driven positioners, X-Ray detectors, and robotic sample mounters in a Linux-based Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System (EPICS) environment. Other professional venues include contributions to ongoing developments and support for various database technologies for experiment control and for experimental data handling and processing.

You can find more information in the detailed description for this position at https://jobs.bnl.gov by using Job ID 1764.

Best regards,
Anton Derbenev
