The issue is explained in the ADAravis release notes: https://github.com/areaDetector/ADAravis/blob/master/RELEASE.md You specifically need aravis 0.7.2. The odd-numbered minor release numbers of aravis are unstable releases where they are changing the API. You probably are using 0.7.3, 0.7.4, or 0.7.5 which use a different API from 0.7.2. When 0.8.x is released the API will be stable and I will update ADAravis to that API.
