Hi:
When combining a scalar 'X' and 'Y' reading into a time series, there are several options:
a) Have 'Y' update trigger a data point, using the then-current value of X
b) Have 'X' update ... of Y
c) Have a third 'Trigger' PV
d) Pick values where the time stamp matches with 0.01 seconds
e) Do something entirely different
The x-y-graph widget in Phoebus doesn't try to implement any of the above.
It simply displays two waveforms into which you collected the data as you see fit.
For example, you could use an IOC database with 'compress' records in 'circular buffer' mode to collect the data into waveforms.
Thanks,
Kay

Subject: [EXTERNAL] Phoebus X-Y Graph
Hey all,
we need to test some pixel sensors, and one check is measuring the
current for different bias voltage settings.
Can I use the x-y-graph widget in Phoebus to display the current vs voltage?
Is it just showing only the actual value or does it also have a sort of
history like the databrowser?
Best regards,
Florian
