Yes, it's the stuff of nightmares. Thanks for the notes, much appreciated. As for my problem, it's reproducible with netcat. Moreover, it's reproducible
with the bridge that the docker service sets up as well. I guess it's just
something about bridges, and while it irks me that I don't understand it,
can't go dig deeper right now. I guess I'll have to figure out a different
topology for this network ...
