Hej Mark, Gary, Andy,

Sorry if I repeat things that had been written before,
or are obvious and well known.

The original driver for a powerPMAC (the version using a powerPC CPU)

is here:

https://github.com/Observatory-Sciences/powerPMAC

It supports motorRecord support and talks SSH to the PMAC,
with the gpascii program on the PMAC.
That driver could/should be able to talk to axes being part of a coordinate system,
and may be interesting for code readers.

However, that code was integrated into the generic PMAC driver here:
https://github.com/dls-controls/pmac

HTH

It works fine, and emulates the Windows controls program that Symetrie provides. It allows motion in the Cartesian coordinate system, and display of all status information. It communicates with a high-level server that runs on the PowerPmac in their controller box.
