Thanks Simon,

We will add this to the list to evaluate! It's unfortunate that development has stalled on this, but at least it gives is a possible avenue to explore.

For now PV access is not important. We likely only use it for some internal use-cases.

Cheers,
Vincent

Dear Vincent

At PSI we have developed WICA "Web Interface for Controls Applications", which provides:

- a backend service for streaming the state of
EPICS channels over an http (REST) interface.
It also supports basic get and put functionality.

- a frontend JS library that can interpret the
event stream to update the html elements on a
   user's webpage in realtime.

The above is as far as it takes you; it's then down to the user to develop the webpages that leverage off this functionality according to your needs and preferred technology choices.

The Wica backend service runs either as a fatjar you can start on the command line, or as a service you can run in a docker container.

WICA is an open-source project available on GitHub here:

Unfortuantely, currently there is no support for PV Access.

Limited resources our end means we have had to focus our development efforts elsewhere in recent years, but it may give you some ideas.

Best regards
