Hi:
Ralph wrote that these items are still under discussion:
- What's the string interface?
- What's the array interface?
- What does the surveyor interface look like?
- Is the type description mechanism enumerated or functional?
- Is there support for unsigned integers or not?
I thought so, too. That's why I presented
the idea of a querying/enumerated/'pulling'
interface suite as opposed to the callback/'pushing' version;
using C strings instead of per-character enumeration.
But except for Bob & Marty, all other responses
were along the lines of bad idea, slow, we already
thought about this, ...
So I concluded that I'm all wrong, dataAccess
with the data container is the best possible solution,
and I'm only hindering progress.
So to move forward, I suggested to scrap my wiki pages,
get the latest dataAccess and play with it.
I agree that we shouldn't present N different views
and then invite M new opinions.
