Hi Janet, hello all,

this is just to inform you that BESSY was running into problems that Benjamin Franksen tracked down to most probably being caused by a bug in make-3.81 described here.
This issue was affecting some of our local rules - off-the-shelf EPICS base compiles as expected.

Benjamin was able to change our local rules to work around the make bug. We're proceeding with fingers crossed.
