Please add the answers to these questions to the bug:

* Which version of Base was this Gateway built against?
* Since this seems to be related to a specific IOC, what version of Base
and what target architecture is the IOC eioc-und1-mp01 running?
* Please run a back-trace of all threads (thread apply all bt) on the
Gateway core-dump as there may be information about current the state of
other threads that could help track down the problem.

Thanks for the detailed report. I hope Jeff Hill can find some time to
look into this; he may come back with some additional questions for
information from the core-dump.
