I proposed this last year, with a patch, which I applied locally:

This basically fell flat because Ralph has done this and more, but only for R3.15. I would still have preferred it to have been in last year's 3.14 release...

Hello

for an IOC on Linux, epicsThreadShowAll lists, among other information,
the PTHREAD ID. However, for diagnostic purposes this is not very
useful; it seems this is a pthread internal identifier. It would be more
useful if epicsThreadShowAll would display the thread id as the
operating system sees it, so we could correlate it to the output of
"top" or "ps".
