I'm confused. The behavior you describe seems like an INVALID alarm
severity. The fact that the values are updating means that the CA
connection is in fact being established.
Can you check one effected PV with command line 'camonitor' for both
Base versions? Are there any differences in the outputs?
Also, while it might not be relevant in this case, when reporting a
potential CA connectivity problem please include some details about
relevant settings (EPICS_* environment variables, and cs-studio CA
perfs.), and the network topology (IOC and cs-studio on the same host,
or different).
