Doesn't mean that it's using CORBA per se, but yes, looks like it's using some of the classes from the corba package, see https://github.com/epics-base/pvAccessJava/blob/master/src/org/epics/pvaccess/impl/remote/IntrospectionRegistry.java#L26 -Kay
