Last time I visited ESS for the EPICS meeting there, many of us stayed
at the Clarion Collection Hotel Planetstaden in Lund, which is a 20-30
minute walk to ESS and includes free WiFi, breakfast, an afternoon snack
and even dinner in their room rates (which seem to be around half the US
lodging allowance for Sweden). I would be in favour of staying there again:

Google does show some cheaper options, some nearer the middle of town (a
15-20 minute walk), but when you add dinner there probably isn't that
much difference in the total cost.
