Lo and behold. I get this kind of results now:

 

(base) timkorair:EPICS7 timokorhonen$ base-7.0.3.1/bin/darwin-x86/pvput double01 '{"value":1.234}'

JSON syntax not supported by this build.

(base) timkorair:EPICS7 timokorhonen$ base-7.0.1.1/bin/darwin-x86/pvput verylongIn '{"value":456789}'

Old : verylongIn                     123456

New : verylongIn                     456789

 

(double01 is an ao record, verylongIn is an int64in).

 

Michael may already have a solution…his mail just came in.

This was prior to 7.0.3.1.  The conditionals were present in 7.0.2

Yes, I see, but that is not what I meant. I mean:

 

$ pvput -V

pvput v7.1.0

$ pvput double01 '{"value":1.234}'

JSON syntax not supported by this build.

 

Why?
