We will not be changing the default settings for any existing epicsThread API, as doing so would potentially break external code. That doesn’t mean that any new APIs we introduce will have the same defaults though, just that existing code shouldn’t have to be changed to continue working with future releases (unless we decided to remove the old APIs completely, which is unlikely in this case).
