A positive motivation which we may take away from this is to make EPICS IPv6 compatible and ready if we can get it funded properly.

BTW, the Whitehouse Memo was issued last November and there is a new administration in the U.S. right now. It will be interesting to see an update on IPv6 from the new administration.

I may be wrong, but AFAIU only facilities in the US have a problem. They
need to convince their over-bosses that they get an exception.
