Anything can be done with time and money.
The cost of 6 VME crates can quickly get eaten by the cost of performing
one difficult port. There are also problems in maintaining and synch'ing
to future upgrades. Is there any way to recover any of the value of the
current equipment: PC's, Force Sparc boards, etc.. and use the money to
purchase equipment that is already supported?
If you are looking to cut costs, it's possible to purchase some cheaper
Force 030 or Motorola 030 boards and get the job done.
