I have heard about this problem from another source. I suspect the
problem is occuring when the EDIF file is being read into memory just
before the actual conversion process.
This is definately a problem with the EDIF reader, and has been existence
since the the orignal edif2sr.

You are not doing anything wrong.
Work arounds:
1. The obvious work around is not to use onpage connectors with versions
2.1.1 and earlier of e2sr (e2sr 2.1.1 comes with EPICS R3.12.1).
2. Wires with identical names are in fact connected. You can "fake" an
on-page connection by naming two wires the same, then leaving the wires
disconnected on the schematic.
If you think this looks ugly, create fake symbols with appropriate port
directions. This means that nets with output link(s) should connect to
fake on-page connectors with output ports, and nets with input link(s)
should connect to fake on-page connectors with input ports. e2sr will
complain if the direction is wrong.
I will of course correct this problem.
Thanks,
Matt
