ET 488, produced by Sony-Tektronix corporation,  allow user to 
control remotely located 
GP-IB devices through LAN(Ethernet).  Library routines supplied by 
the maker wraps GPIB commands into TCP/IP packets.  ET488 receives 
these packets and sends  GP-IB commands to a GP-IB device on a GPIB 
bus connected to ET488.

Mr. Takeshi Yoshikawa wrote the device support routine for ET488 in 
EPICS. He wrote driver support routines  based on drvGpib.c.
