caRepeater ... |

I apologize if this is a trivial question, but I can't seem to find
the answer. I am trying to bundle up the R3.12.0Beta13 base port
to Linux so other people can hack/use it. I've tested the port on
my crate with a simple soft analog input record. Things seem to work
with the exception of the starting of caRepeater. Before I delve into
the code, I was wondering if this happens on other platforms or
perhaps I am just doing something wrong.
1) startCArepeater does nothing. This is where I am confused.
startCArepeater just calls ca_task_initialize which returns
without doing anything if ca_static is NULL. I can't seem to
find where it is initialized since it is defined as
a pointer. startCArepeater also doesn't give any error messages.
2) Given the above, the clients don't seem to start caRepeater; however,
if I start it by hand (e.g. caRepeater & ), then ca_test
can talk to my crate.
I'm sure that I'm just missing something fundamental.
