Is there any way to add user-defined menus to a dm window?
What we would like to do is display menus in an EPICS interface. Later on
we shall be using Tcl/Tk for user interfaces but for the time being we need
to develop a simple engineering interface for cryostat control. Very often
there is a set of choices, which we have been selecting by typing names or
values into a text entry field. We would much prefer to present the engineer
with a fixed set of options in many cases, via a menu of some kind. The names
of the options and any associated values are supplied from a file read down
from the host, so it would be nice to set up the menu dynamically, i.e. at
runtime.
In edd/dm it is easy enough to connect to a record field which already has
multiple choices built in, by using a choice or menu button. The question is,
is there any way to adapt this for user defined lists?
