Due to my study and experiment with the web pages, I have prototyped a
Web based CA Info Server.
Based on the CGI concept, I used the current exising EPICS channel
access unix tools caget, caput, caGet, caPut, caInfo1 and the powerful
PERL language to implement this CA Info Server. It demonstates that the
Web user (clients) can easily to access and view and set the IOC
through this kind of CA info server. This CA Info Server currently
resides on my web server.
For those of you who would like to see the features available in this
CA Info Server and experiment what CGI can do, visit
http://kao.aps1.anl.gov:8001/CA/CA.html
It is connected to the IOC in my office. To experiment, try
tweak the channel 'chademoai2'. If more than one user tweek on the
same channel, the very last task will prevail.
If you have any comment or question please email to me.
