Bingo! You're right! Don't know how I forgot after chasing some problems
with the original VME chip on the '147. Hmm - they may have been dma or
interrupt-queuing problems. I think they didn't show up when there was only
one source for the requests, hence no contention.
I think I'm suffering from brain-rot.
