Have you tried setting the vxWorks environment variables (i.e. VX_HOST_TYPE,
VX_VW_BASE, VX_HSP_BASE, VX_BSP_BASE) as mentioned in the vxWorks manuals?

This is the only reason I can think of that could cause your type of error.
