Ed,
	I wrote this driver last year for the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope where
it is still in use. It hasn't been officially checked into the standard
EPICS driver set yet.
So far there have has been interest from several other sites and I may be
using it for an application here at LANL.

	The driver is based on the HiDEOS support for the SCC2698 Octal UART which
does support RS-232, RS-422 and RS-485 although only the RS-232 code has
really been tested. It is written as a standard VxWorks ty driver so it can
be used with the drvSerial framework. It also uses the drvIpac carrier
board driver from Andrew Johnson at RGO.

	If I end up using this driver for LEDA, then I'll be supporting it once I
have hardware in-house.
