If y'all get this twice, sorry - I think I only sent it to Matthias
the first time, when I meant to write to the whole group. It's the
fourth Monday this week...

Okay, "Inquiring minds want to know", all the gory details :-), I am
using MEDM 2.3.3, RedHat Linux 5.0, RedHat Motif 2.1, XFree86 3.3.2,
four calling birds, three French hens...oh, sorry.
John Sinclair at ORNL ran this with the debugger late yesterday afternoon
and found that it was failing in XmDestroyPixmap, according to his
voicemail message. We are using the same configuration. There are
differences in the executable version. His does not give him the
message "Attempt to unmanage a child when parent is not Composite".
(BTW, someone here pointed out that this is a great error message).
In my version, this happens when I hit the "Close" button after
filling in the grid for the Related Display. When I execute it, it
does not crash, it simply refuses to do anything useful. If I only
have one menu choice, the related display works. If I have more than
one, It just does *nothing*. All the other medm widgets seem to work
okay, so far. John's version, on the other hand, does not give the
error message in edit mode, but when executing a related display, it
reproducibly crashes at some point in the execution. Perhaps John
will chime in with more details of what he found this morning.
I will keep you posted. (No pun intended).
