Some people at Allied Signal used a PC-based graphical tool, "State Cad"??, to create
their diagrams. They wrote a translation from that output to EPICS SNL--they said
it wasn't much work to do so. I believe this work was done under EPICS R3.10. I'll
contact Greg Domer and Dick Floersch at Allied Signal and ask if one of them could
give us some information.
I definitely argee with Matthias that we should use something that supports such a standard..
