Message Passing Facility - Release 1-4

A new release of MPF is available. The major changes since the last release are:

1) DevMpf and serialServer have been changed to be more generic. These changes
resulted from working with Mark Rivers as he converted his support from Hideos
to MPF. The support should now be much more useful.

2) The support for interfacing to IPAC now uses Andrew Johnsons ipic support.
This means that "dumb" carrier boards are now supported.

3) The Greensprings gpib support is changed. When we attempted to use this ip
module with mv172s it failed. It uses the TI TMS9914A gpib controller chip. Once
and a great while a command to this chip would be ignored because two
consecutive commands happened too quickly. This was not easy to find.
