We have done two things here:
a) wrote device/driver support for Modicon PLCs using TCP/IP and interfacing
to the NOE 211 Ethernet module. This package supports ao, ai, bo, bi, mbbo,
mbbi, mbboDirect, and mbbiDirect records. TCP/IP transactions (Polling the PLC)
are done by spawned tasks which interface to EPICS through memory buffers.

b) interface via TCP/IP and UDP to RF controllers which are developed and
maintained by the TRIUMF RF group. This package uses subroutine records which
are scanned periodically and maintain their internal state machines.
