Hi all- is anyone out there running dm2k (v2.5.2), opening windows on an NT PC
via a Starnet X-Win (v4.1.2) X-windows server? I've determined that each time
I switch between "edit" and "execute" the NT task manager shows another few MB
allocated, and this memory isn't returned until you finally exit dmk... it
just
keeps ratcheting up until the system slows to a crawl.
Is it the X-Server-process, that allocates more memory on every switch?
Our did you manage to compile/run dm2k native on Windows NT??
Does it even happen with simple adl-files? If not, try to isolate the widget,
that produces this memory leak.
At least I can't reproduce this behaviour on Win2000 with Hummingbird
Exceed 7.0
(running dm2k on Linux with a rather simple adl-file)
In any case you could try the newest version of dm2k
http://www-csr.bessy.de/control/SoftDist/dm2k/download/dm2k-2.5.3-source.tar.gz
I didn't manage to make a new release yet, but we (at BESSY) use this
version for
about a year now in our production system without any problems.
