David,
Funny you should ask ... we are actively evaluating VME digitizers for a
number of applications including BPMs, RF measurements, and current
monitors.
We currently have a VTR1012 (12 bits @ 10MHz) and a VTR10010 (10 bits @
100MHz) in our possession. Marty Kraimer has just completed EPICS support
for these two modules. We were unable to locate the advertised support.
We have a VTR10012 (12 bits @ 100MHz) on order, but the very first batch
from Joerger has not been manufactured yet. I am expecting it within
the next two weeks. Marty will provide support for that one too.
I also ordered two modules from Drivesoft
(http://www.drivesoft.com/physics.htm), manufactured by Struck. One is
12 bits @ 100MHz, the other is 14 bits @ 65MHz, both are 8 channel units.
I'm expecting Marty to support these as well, with a consistent approach
to the Joerger modules.
Passing this on to tech-talk in case anyone else is interested ...
