We are using the EPICS driver by Mark Rivers, which appears to support it at least to the point of setting the control registers. The hardware works in "Burst Continous", as the 5Vpp, .5Hz square wave signal hooked up properly reads between 0V and 5V. When the same signal is applied to the trigger input, the startup file configuration set to 5 for External Triggering and the direction to "Input", the value read is somewhere around -4.9xxxx. The value does change sometimes, but the time period seems random. The coax leads are hooked up to 1,2 for chanel D00, and the external trigger is hooked up with + at 49 (ext trig) and - at 39 (common). The hardware setup (leads and registers) seems to be right, so I think the problem is somewhere in the EPICS side of things, which I am not very familiar with. Currently it is using the Ip330Scan application, should it be using something else? Thanks, -- Eric Snow Accelerator Physics Spallation Neutron Source Oak Ridge National Lab [email protected]
